Spread the Love with DataStax this Valentine's Day!

This Valentine's Day, DataStax is excited to bring something special to our entire developer community: we’ve created an experience that combines art, romance, AI, and education in what we're calling our DataStax × Valentine's Day giveaway.

The experience

We’ve created a generative AI application that creates a unique and personalized poem for any developer—including you—based on your GitHub username. To participate, all you've got to do is enter your GitHub username and watch as our AI crafts a unique poem that captures your digital essence.

Once you've received your poem and shared it on 𝕏, you'll be automatically entered into a drawing to win our exciting prize (more on that below). The most-liked 𝕏 post at the end of Feb. 14, 2025, at 11:59 PM PST will win the prize, so get creative and spread the love!

One lucky winner will receive a pair of DataStax purple BOSE earbuds.

How it's built

At DataStax, we’re committed to democratizing GenAI for everyone. This Valentine's Day giveaway and generator is a fun celebration of that commitment, so we'd be remiss if we did not include a bit of education:

The following terms and conditions apply to this giveaway.

Eligibility and entry requirements

No purchase necessary to enter or win. This giveaway is open to individuals aged 18 years or older, excluding employees of DataStax, its subsidiaries, affiliates, and their immediate family members.  Open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. States and the District of Columbia. Void where prohibited by law.

Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple accounts, identities or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. 

Entry period and submission guidelines

The giveaway runs from February 10 (12:00 AM PST) to February 13, 2025 (11:59 PM PST). 

Entry requirements:

Must share poem to X and tag DataStaxDevs

Post with the most likes by February 13, 2025 (11:59 PM PST) that adheres to above requirements will win Bose earbuds valued at $179.00

DataStax reserves sole discretion to determine if content meets "meaningful use" criteria

Winner will be notified via social media within 48 hours of selection

Winners must respond within 72 hours of notification or forfeit prize

Winners can only win a maximum of one time. If an individual wins more than one time, a new winner will be redrawn.

Liability and rights

DataStax reserves the right to verify eligibility of all entries

If prize payment is not possible due to a violation of these terms (such as geographic restrictions, lack of appropriate documentation, or any other reason), DataStax reserves the right to select another winner

DataStax may disqualify entries that violate these terms or are fraudulent

By entering, participants grant DataStax perpetual rights to distribute submitted content for promotional purposes without compensation

Technical issues

DataStax is not responsible for lost, delayed, or corrupted entries

DataStax reserves the right to modify or cancel the giveaway due to technical issues or other unforeseen circumstances
